Favourite Visual Artist
Kandinsky makes me feel joy. Picasso still astounds me. Chagall. Matisse. Diego de Rivera. These guys had soul. Bosch was deliciously insane. On the other hand, Dali's paintings make me feel unhinged and I intensely dislike his work.
Favourite Movies
Blade Runner, Secret of Roan Inish, Minority Report, The Highlander, Milagro Beanfield Wars
Favourite TV Shows
No TV. But if I had it, I'd watch NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles. And World's Dumbest... and any real scifi the scifi channel would show. I also like those cheesy disaster movies.
Favourite Bands / Musical Artists
Way too many to even think about listing. Stones to Stravinsky and all the classic rock, blues, jazz, absolute that come between.
Favourite Books
SciFi, Mystery, History, Philosophy, Poetry
Favourite Writers
Impossible question. Merleau-Ponty, Sartre, Wittgenstein. Whitman, Frost, Sandburg, Dylan Thomas, WH Auden. Vicente Huidobro, Octavio Paz. Preson and Child, John Sanford, Hammet. . .

I have just spent probably a couple of hours browsing through work posted in the Traditional Art category - Still Life. There is amazing talent on display here. And room for everyone. It is truly enjoyable to simply dive in and soak up the pure happiness of so much creativity, so much talent, so much inspiration. What an excellent antidote to . . . pretty much everything else. Whew.
